About us

What We Believe.

Apostles Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit
and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again.
He ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again
to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.

Core Values

1. Jesus is our model. We believe Jesus is our model for human life and flourishing. Jesus calls us to form our lives around discipleship to his way of life. In practice, this means calling people to live out the lifestyle of Jesus through the spiritual practices and spiritual gifts that Jesus embodied.

2. Empowered by the Spirit. We believe that God wants to revive this generation. Our role is to prepare the way by calling people to holiness, repentance, and expectancy for God to move.

3. Challenging culture's view of Christianity. We are committed to calling a generation back to authentic discipleship and orthodox Christianity. In order to do so, we must dismantle deeply held assumptions about God, the Church, and Christianity. Our desire is to present Jesus as he truly is, not as our culture wants him to be.

4. Awakening a generation of missionaries. We follow a missional God who goes after the poor, the weak, and the broken. There are no barriers to the love of God. God calls his people to participate in his mission of evangelism, justice, and renewal.

5. Following Jesus as family. We are called to cultivate loyal and united relationships that cross the boundaries of race, class, politics, and sex. The world will know us by our love for one another.

6. Anchored in legacy. We are a part of a long tradition of apprentices of Jesus. We participate in the practices and rhythms of the Church that transcend our cultural moment.
